Voskresensky Invitaition to Party Concert
Dear Friends,
We are delighted to invite you to an enchanting evening of music and wine at our house, featuring a charity concert by the legendary pianist Professor Mikhail Voskresensky, a master of the Russian Romantic tradition.
This is a rare opportunity to experience an artist of such caliber in an intimate setting, so join us for a memorable evening of sublime music, fine wine, and warm company—all in support of a meaningful cause.
Mikhail’s remarkable career began with early successes, including top prizes at the First Schumann International Competition and the First Van Cliburn International Competition. He has since earned the title of National Artist of Russia, the Order of the Rising Sun from the Emperor of Japan, and the prestigious Nikolai Rubinstein Gold Medal.
For decades, Professor Voskresensky served as Chair of the Piano Department at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, guiding generations of pianists. In 2022, he left Russia in protest against the invasion in Ukraine and now continues his illustrious career as an Artist-in-Residence at The Juilliard School in New York.
An interesting fact about professor Voskresensky’s artistic journey, he was studying Dmitry Shostakovich’s Second Piano Concerto with the composer himself, culminating in its European premiere at the Prague Spring Festival, performed in Shostakovich’s presence and later recorded by Supraphon.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 to support young pianists through scholarships and prizes at the Silicon Valley Open Doors International Piano Competition and to celebrate a living legend of classical music. Your registration fee not only secures your seat at an unforgettable concert by a world-renowned pianist but also directly supports the dreams of young, aspiring pianists. Every dollar you give is tax-deductible and goes toward the artist and funding prizes for the winners of the prestigious Silicon Valley Open Doors International Piano Competition.
We can’t wait to welcome you! Thank you for your generosity!
